With All due respect Dr. Mohamed El Basty; We aren't losers!

It all happened last Thursday, we were taking our slide show tutorial in the ophthalmology department, it was Dr. Dina, she was explaining and came to a slide and said: "I guess Dr. El Basty explained this part to you". So the students laughed, they didn't like him much, cuz he came on time and insisted on taking attendance by himself early. I liked him so much, admired his respect to his appointments and his commitment to us. Regarding his scientific part, it was amazing, he explained everything with true passion and love to the subject, he wanted us to understand rather than contain. Anyway, when the students laughed Dr. Dina smiled and said that we should consider that he ranked the first on his peers in the six years of college as well as masters and phd, he is so scientific, that 's what she said. Those words were like a lightening shocking all of us to death, it doesn't show at all, so modest to science, those words changed some of their opinions. I was so impressed by how much power someone can have to achieve what he achieved msA. What happened was on last Wednesday, we were taking an operations' video tutorial and in the middle of his speech he said "ento keda keda fashleen" (you are losers anyway). Till this moment I don't know if he was kidding or serious when he said it, but either way i don't accept that we get called that. Why? because we might not be perfect and we might not reach what he reached, but at least we are trying and some of us are really giving their best trying to do good. ya doctor Mohamed, you are a great doctor, you are considered a role model to us, we love you and we respect you and your opinions. When you come and say that we are losers you are killing our spirits, you are killing our hope. I usually don't care with what people say or with their opinions, but in his case i care, because that is a great man that i look up to, but when he say something like that, i will have to displace him to the other side of those i don't care about, cuz if i want to be a good doctor i won't care for those who say i am a loser as long as i am doing my best. ya doctor Mohamed you took saying this word for granted. It hurt us and it hurt deep. I wish one day you read or hear my name ya Doctor and say with pride: "that was my student". And believe me ya doctor, we still have a lecture with you on a coming Tuesday, if u said we are losers again i will talk then, I am just not sure if i should do it in front of my peers or in private with you but i will talk and my voice shall be heard.
